You want to know the truth about toddlers? Well I have two, a three-year-old and a one-year-old, and this is how it is...
No matter how much coffee you have, it will NEVER be stronger than your toddler.
They will do the most hilarious thing, three times in a row.
Then the next 7986259 times they do it will make your fake laugh become perfected.
At times they're genius.
At other times you'll wonder how their dang brain even works.
Despite what some toys may say, they do not teach your child patience but rather reveal how much little patience you have.
You are required to know every name and sound that every animal makes. So study up!
They love screen time...and it's perfectly fine to let them have it every now and then.
There will be WAY too many meals that include fries, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, and PB&Js.
They love to be your audience...in the bathroom.
Maybe even on your lap....
While they eat snacks.
No matter how punctual you were before, you will NEVER be on time again.
Someone is always missing a vital piece of clothing just before you even leave the house.
You get to see glimpses of yourself within their speech and maanerisms.
This will fill you with so much pride, but also maybe break your pride.
They never have to go potty.
They are always down for some snacks.
There will be that ONE place that you have to drag them out from kicking and screaming on more than one occasion. And people will stare. Just keep going because we've all been there.
There will be smells and food on them that you can't identify.
And some that you identify way too fast.
You're gonna need Band-Aids in bulk...those little buggers use them like stickers.
You will still google search some pretty crazy things.
You will cherish those last few snuggles.
You will learn so much about yourself through them.
You will grow.
You will laugh harder than you can even imagine.
You will cry more than you've ever cried.
And you will have to find some grace for every day.
