When your baby begins to transition into a toddler, you'll find yourself in that weird in-between stage of life. The time when they no longer need a diaper bag, but still need a good amount of stuff with them at all times.
The Bag
We decided to take a trip to our local Carter's to find the perfect bag toddler backpack. Because we are no longer using the diaper bag, although you definitely still can. We just found that it would be more beneficial to have a handy bag that would relate more to our child while also giving him more freedom with independence.
So we chose this dinosaur bag. It has a roomy big compartment, insulated pouch in the front, adjustable mesh pocket on the side, adjustable padded straps, and easy-to-clean material.
Wet Bag
Of course, our toddler is potty trained, but we're still sure to always pack some cleaning supplies just in case a mishap does happen. Because sometimes little bottoms can make a big mess especially on accident. We put wipes, body wipes, diaper cream, hand sanitizer, extra pants, and extra undies.
Toys, Toys, and More Toys
Surprisingly, this little bag packs an amazing amount of toys! So before leaving I am always sure to let my toddler pick out whatever toys suit his fancy for that day. Most of the time it's all of his toy story friends, super heroes, and lots of cars. Because a boy can never have enough cars.
Not only does it make him excited to be able to make a decision that day, but it also keeps him happy and properly entertained wherever we go.
Nutrition
I usually try to keep at least two snacks with us at all times. The reason: Because most of the time, I have the tendency to keep my kids out a little past lunch time so it has helped me tremendously to have items that are quick to hand them and can also hold them over until we get home.
Also can't leave home without a cup of fluids! We are always sure to fill up his water bottle before taking off.
We loved it so much that we decided on this deer backpack for my baby's toy backpack. Hers is filled only with toys and teethers.
