Okay y’all, I finally perfected my caramel sauce...at 4 am this morning. I couldn’t sleep ALL night with my husband being gone on a hunting trip, so I thought - what better time to take a shower uninterrupted and make some yummy caramel. Why? Because I love caramel lattes. And after a night like that, I needed one.
Ingredients:
2 Cups of Sugar
1/2 Cup of Water
1 Cup of Butter
1 Cup of Heavy Cream
2 Tsp of Salt
4 Tsp of Vanilla
Instructions:
In a pan, combine the sugar and water.
Cook it, without touching, on medium heat. Boiling until it becomes an amber color.
Then continuously mixing, add in the butter.
Then, still mixing, add in the heavy cream, salt, and vanilla.
Once combined, remove from heat and place into desired jar to cool.
Once cool, use it for anything you like caramel on. Your coffee, bread, in other recipes, or just straight up.
