Rattle Feet (5 Minutes)
Materials: Two wrist rattles
Instructions:
1. Attach both wrist rattles to your baby's ankles.
2. Place your baby on their back and allow them to kick away, jingling away.
Roll On the Ball (5 Minutes)
Materials: Inflatable ball Instructions: 1. Stand the ball so that the ball is between the two of you. 2. Gently press their belly against the ball. Supporting them the whole time. 3. Roll them onto the ball while holding them securely. 4. Return them by rolling them back to the standing position. 5. Repeat for as long as they are comfortable with it. Tip: Strip them down to just their diaper to have their skin as extra grip.
Slip 'N' Slide (5 Minutes)
Materials: Changing pad or large cloth
Instructions:
1. Place your baby on their back on the changing pad or cloth on a smooth surface such as a table or hardwood floor.
2. Place your hands flat against their feet.
3. Let them either naturally push themselves backward or gently press their feet to guide them slowly backwards.
Sensory Obstacle Course (5 Minutes)
Materials: Large piece of cardboard, textured items (ex: bubble wrap, tissue paper, foil, sticky plastic, cut up fabrics, cotton balls), and glue
Instructions:
1. Glue your items into piles on different sections of the cardboard, making sure that they are secure.
2. Lay your baby on their tummy in the middle of the board, letting them touch and feel every texture on the board.
Tip: Once they grow tired, try supporting them in a standing position to explore with their feet as well.
Tickle Tickle (5 Minutes)
Materials: Textured items (ex: cotton balls, sponge or blankets)
Instructions:
1. Lay your baby on their back.
2. Gently brush the objects one by one over their belly, cheek, arms, legs, cheeks, and forehead.
Disk-O-Baby (5 Minutes)
Materials: Hot glue gun, clear plastic lids (I used two old container lids that didn't match any containers), dry beans and rice (or any dry sound making items), and packing tape. Instructions: 1. Place one lid upside down and place a few beans and rice on top. 2. Seal the second lid on top of it with the hot glue gun. 3. Wrap the edges with packing tape to ensure that the inside piece don't escape. 4. Place your baby on their back. 5. Shake the shaker above their head. Shaking on the right side, then the left, and then in the middle.
