Mexican Rice

Here we have my recipe for my in-law family's Mexican rice. It is something super simple, easy to do, doesn't require much time, and can go with A LOT of recipes.

Ingredients:

- Oil of Choice, I Use Vegetable Oil

- 2 Cups of White Rice

- 1 (6 oz.) Can of Tomato Sauce

- 4 Cups of Water

- 1 Tsp. of Salt

- 1 Tsp. of Cumin

- 1 Tsp. of Chicken Bouillon

Directions:

  1. Start by placing a little oil into your pan, enough to cover the amount of rice. And it's okay if you over do it, we're going to drain it in a little bit.

  2. Once warm, add in your rice. Letting it cook until a tiny bit brown. This is going to make sure that the rice isn't too soft and stick like plain white rice, but also not too hard that it doesn't cook.

  3. Drain the oil from the pan. I just tilt it to the side and spoon out the oil.

  4. Return your pan back to the stove, adding in the rest of the ingredients. Mix it all together.

  5. Place it on medium heat, cover it, and let it simmer until cooked.

I serve it with a lot of things: Tacos, chile rellenos, just with beans, etc. I mean, you name it and this rice can go with it. If you make it, let me know how it turned out in the comments! And I hope you enjoy.
