March 2020 Goals

Welcome to March everyone! Is it just me or did January go by way too slow, and February made up for it by going by way too fast? In either case, here we are. This month is going to be a lot for my family and I. We are preparing to leave our first apartment, will have our children baptized, and I am officially starting “preschool” with my toddler. But with it all comes new adventures.

Review of February Goals

  • Sleep more. After two months of sick kids finally mellowing out through the middle of the month, I got around to achieving this goal. I was able to get in my 7 hours of sleep at least 4 days a week. So I would say this one was definitely a win.

  • Add exercising into my morning routine. This one was a life-changer this month. Before I was trying to sneak in a workout, doing 15-minute intervals in stolen moments throughout the day. But adding it to my morning routine not only made it more achievable to workout, but get the full workout done and feel so much better to start my day.

  • Read another 5 books. Of course I tacked this off the list! Reading is kind of my sanity. My escape from life when I just need a break. Which has also become part of my morning routine. So I usually get to squeeze in a couple chapter before the kids wake up, finishing about a book per week.

  • Do at least 5 Valentine's Day themed activities. My husband and I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day, but I still wanted to make it fun for the kids. So we did a couple crafts the week of Valentine's Day. We did some stuff with paint, glue, crayons, markers, and much more. And I think we actually exceeded this one by doing 6-8 activities.

  • Morning devotion with the kids. I really enjoyed this one. We aren't very religious, but I have rediscovered a bit of my faith. And I wanted to share that with my kids. We actually did this with a podcast that I played in the morning as they played and I made breakfast, and continued into while we ate.

March Goals

  • Stick to the "preschool" schedules. If you've been keeping up the blog, you know that this month is the kick start of my preschooling at home with my toddler. I came up with a weekly theme list for the year. I know that some things will change some of the activities but I want to make sure that I am staying on track with my toddler's learning and also giving you guys a lot of content. If you want to school with me, look out for the weekly themed posts every Sunday.

  • Move out of our apartment. At the end of this month, our lease at our current apartment will come to an end. But we are not renewing. And although it's not ideal, we will be living with my mom for a few months while we look for a house a new town that we're moving to! And I can't wait to bring you guys along for every part of the journey.

  • Read another 5 books. This month is going to be a little hectic between my husband leaving a lot for work, trying to switch careers, doing school with my toddler, and moving out but I never want to lose sight of what keeps me grounded. Which is my books.

  • Get the kids baptized. At the end of the month we are getting both of the kids baptized! And I cannot wait. We already have almost everything that we need to get the party going and it is going to be so beautiful. I truly cannot wait for the event and to share it with all of you!

What are some of your goals for this month?
