Herb Play (15 Minutes)
Materials: Fresh herbs and a shallow tray
Instructions:
1. Place a variety of herbs on the tray.
2. Help your baby in a supported sit or onto their tummy, placing the tray in front of them.
3. Let your baby explore the herbs through touch while describing what they are doing. Saying things such as, "Do you smell the rosemary" and "So fresh and earthy!"
Jumping Beans (15 Minutes)
Materials: Dry beans and a shallow tray
Instructions:
1. Place some beans onto the tray.
2. Help your baby in a supported sit, placing them in the tray.
3. Let your baby explore the beans through touch of their hands and feet as they sift them around the tray.
4. Then try to hold the baby in a standing position to feel the beans on their feet with a little weight.
Rings (2 Minutes)
Materials: Muffin tin, toilet paper roll, scissors and tape
Instructions:
1. Cut the toilet paper roll into 6-8 ring pieces and cover them in the tape to make them more sturdy.
2. Place each ring into the it's own section of the muffin tin.
3. Sit your baby on your lap, placing the tin in front of you.
4. Encourage them to reach for the rings by guiding their hands to them.
Tip: Use color duck tape for some extra fun play.
