Ingredients:
3 Cups of Maseca
1 Cup of Flour
2 Tsp of Baking Powder
1 Tsp of Salt
3 Cups of Water
1 Lb of Ground Beef
1/2 Onion, Diced
3 Potatoes, Peeled and Diced
1/4 Tsp of Cumin
1 Tbsp of Chicken Bouillon
1 1/2 Cups of Water
Toppings: I like lettuce, tomato, salsa, avocados, and crema.
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine together Maseca, flour, baking powder, salt, and water. And set aside.
In a pan, cook up the ground beef.
Then cook in the onion until soft.
Add in the potatoes, cumin, chicken bouillon, and water. Letting it all simmer for 10 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
As it cooks, make golf sized balls with the dough. Flatten them out - I like to cut a ziploc down the sides, place it in the middle, and squish down with a plate.
Then fry the dough up in some oil.
Once the dough is cooked enough to tough, slice them 1/2 way down and fill with meat mixture and toppings.
ENJOY!!!
