Change of Temperature (2 Minutes)
Materials: None
Instructions:
1. Hold your baby in your arms.
2. Start by holding them in one room. Then walk to a place where the temperature is either warmer or colder. Such as the garage, outside, or even by opening up the refrigerator. But always make sure they are dressed for both temps.
3. Repeat by taking them to different temps around and inside the house.
Air Kisses (5 Minutes)
Materials: None
Instructions:
1. Hold your baby on your lap on the floor, with their feet pointed to your belly.
2. Say, "These are your hands," as you gently blow on their hands and then kiss them.
3. Repeat by blowing and kissing on different parts of their body such as the fingers, toes, elbows, cheeks, tummy, neck, and forehead.
Cotton Ball Play (5 Minutes)
Materials: Cotton balls, a bowl of cold water, and a bowl of warm water
Instructions:
1. Dip a cotton ball in the cold water and touch it onto your baby's body and face.
2. Then repeat with the warm water.
Tip: Strip your baby down to their diaper for more sensory play and easier clean up.
Itsy Bitsy Spider (5 Minutes)
Materials: None
Instructions:
1. Hold your baby on your lap on the floor, with their feet pointed to your belly.
2. Gently hold up their arm with your hand.
3. Sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" with hand motions.
"The Itsy bitsy spider climbed up the water spout
(Crawl your fingers from their shoulder to palm)
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
(Wiggle your fingers against theirs)
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
(Sweep your hand up and down their arm from palm to shoulder)
And the Itsy Bitsy spider went up the spout again
(Crawl your fingers from their shoulder to palm)."
4. Repeat with the other arm.
Colored Texture Squares (5 Minutes)
Materials: Cardboard, textured items (ex: dry pasta, beans, or foil), 4 colored paper squares, tape, and glue.
Instructions:
1. Glue each type of textured item onto four sections of your board.
2. Tape the colored paper squares over each section to cover them up just above the area to create a flap.
3. Sit your baby in your lap and help them guide their hands into touching each texture as you lift the flaps one by one.
Streamer Jungle (10 Minutes)
Materials: Edge of table or play mat, streamers (or tissue paper if you don't have any), and tape
Instructions:
1. Hang streamers from the top of your baby's play mat or on the edge of a table with tape.
2. Place your baby underneath the string of them so that their arms can reach the ends.
3. Help them engage with the streamers by swishing them back and forth (like vines in a jungle) , crumbling them, and poking your head through them.
Water Fight (2 Minutes)
Materials: Hair tie and sponges
Instructions:
1. Cut a couple sponges into thirds (length wise) and stack them together so that they are as wide as they are tall.
2. Wrap the hair tie around them tightly in the middle and fluff them out to create a little sponge luffa.
3. During your baby's bath time, use the new sponge toy to soak up the water and squeeze it onto their belly, arms, and legs. You can also rub it against them to let them feel the sponge texture.
Jack and Jill (2 Minutes)
Materials: Black marker and 4 paper squares
Instructions:
1. Draw on each piece of paper a symbol to go with the Jack and Jill story: a boy face, a girl face, a hill, and a bucket.
2. Place your baby on their tummy on a soft, flat surface.
3. Sing the "Jack and Jill" song and place the cards with the corresponding lyrics.

Spin the Bottle (5 Minutes)
Materials: 2 plastic bottles, sound making items (rice, beans, or beads), hot glue, scissors, and tape
Instructions:
1. Cut the bottoms off of both bottles (a few inches) and hot glue the caps onto the tops.
2. Place one bottle upside down on it's cap and begin to fill it with sound making items.
3. Take the second bottle and push the cut sections of both bottles into each other making it one bottle. Finish it off by taping the middle of the bottles to secure it all together.
4. Place your baby onto your lap and shake, roll, and spin the new toy in front of them.
Dance Party (10 Minutes)
Materials: Mirror and music that has known movements
Instructions:
1. Place your baby on your lap facing the mirror.
2. Gently hold their arms up and guide them through the dance moves of songs such as YMCA, Macarena, or Wheels on the Bus as you play them on your music device.
Rainbow Ribbons (2 Minutes)
Materials: Toy to attach ribbon strings to and colorful ribbon Instructions: 1. Cut the ribbon into even pieced long strands and attach them to the toy (knotting securely). 2. Lay your baby down on their back and hold the toy over their head, letting the ribbon dangle above them. 3. Slowly move the toy up and down.
